Lizard Woman: Home

Who is the Lizard Woman? I am an in-home breeder of bearded dragons, out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada (403) 533-3994. I have loved and been interested in reptiles and amphibians for 20 years. At a very young age I started studying every bit of information that I could acquire on reptiles and amphibians, and started to build my personal collection of them.

I’ve designed some of my cages and vivariums; my favorite vivarium has 2 separate enclosures, one side has a rain forest environment for tree frogs, and the other side an arid desert for Leopard Geckos. I have renovated 900 sq. ft. of basement equipped with all the proper housing, heating, lighting, breeding/ incubating and a special cleaning area separate from all my critters.

I take pride in all my well-kept, properly fed critters with their clean living environments. I only sell high quality, healthy reptiles that are of proper size, age, etc.; and have well established eating habits. All of my beardies are fed a variety of vegetables, fruits, crickets, different kinds of worms, Rep-Cal Calcium/D3 (phosphorus free), Rep-Cal Herptivite (multivitamins), Miner-All/D3, young barley & alfalfa powdered greens, and a grapefruit seed extract.

I have been a part of T.A.R.A.S. (The Alberta Reptile and Amphibian Society) for 6 years and involved in meetings and shows buying and selling; but I have been selling offspring of reptiles for 8 years.
I keep records of my adults and offspring to prevent inbreeding. My variety of beardies consists of different crosses of Sandfires, Oranges, Super Oranges, Yellows, Citrus, Hypomelanistic, Leusistic, Snow, German Giants, Salmon, Blood, Chris Allan Red, Normal, Vittikins, and Rankins.

They are all quite tame and handled on a regular basis, but still require special care and love. I want all my beardies to survive, so I am willing to help when ever I can. I tell everyone who wants information or help with questions; or I steer them in the right direction. I recommend that everyone has information, so I supply care sheets. I believe that people who are informed properly about beardies for pets, are the most happy and successful owners.
